Rule 62 SAnon Traditions

1.       Unity First: Our collective well-being comes first because personal progress for everyone relies on our unity.

2.       Guided by Conscience: For our group’s purpose, we follow a higher power as it’s expressed in our group conscience. Our leaders are trusted servants, not rulers.

3.       Joining S-Anon: Families and partners of sexaholics can form an S-Anon Family Group if they meet to help each other and have no other affiliations. The only membership requirement is a problem of sexaholism in a relative, partner, or friend and want help.

4.       Group Independence: Each group is independent, except when their decisions affect other groups or S-Anon as a whole.

5.       Helping Families: The main goal of The Rule 62 Sex Addict Partner Groups is to help the partner of sexaholics by practicing the Twelve Steps, understanding our sexaholic partners, and providing comfort to those in need.

6.       No Outside Endorsements: Our groups shouldn’t endorse or finance any outside activities to avoid being distracted from our spiritual goals. Though separate, we should always work with Sexaholics Anonymous.

7.       Self-Supporting: Every group should support itself and not accept outside contributions (and we don’t,  if you wish to contribute, we suggest contributing to SANON and not to this group).

8.       Non-Professional Service: Twelfth-Step work should remain non-professional, but we can hire workers for our service centers.

9.       Organizational Simplicity: Our groups shouldn’t be formally organized, but we can set up service boards or committees that answer directly to those they serve.

10.  No Public Opinions: S-Anon Family Groups don’t take positions on outside issues, so our name shouldn’t be involved in public controversies.

11.  Attraction Over Promotion: Our public relations should focus on attracting others through example, not promotion. We must keep anonymity at the level of press, radio, TV, and films, and protect the privacy of all members.

12.  Anonymity as a Foundation: Anonymity is the spiritual base of all our Traditions, reminding us to prioritize principles over personal differences.
